Our system uses a modified Elo rating where wins matter most, followed by placement, with victory points as a minor tiebreaker.

Head-to-Head Comparison
After each game, you're compared against every other player in that game. Finishing ahead of someone counts as a "win" against them.
Expected vs Actual
If you beat higher-rated players, you gain more points. If you lose to lower-rated players, you lose more points.
K-Factor
Uses K=32, meaning ratings can shift significantly with each game to reflect recent performance.
4 players with ratings: 1100, 1050, 1000, 950
The underdog (950 rating) gains the most points for winning, while the favorite (1100 rating) loses the most for finishing last.
Each calendar year is a season. Your season rating tracks your performance year-to-date.
Your all-time rating carries over across all seasons and reflects your cumulative skill.
This system rewards consistent winners while giving everyone a fair shot. Beat higher-rated opponents to climb faster. Over time, your rating accurately reflects your skill.
All victory points are converted to a base-10 scale for fair rating calculations across different game modes.
This prevents rating inflation in longer games and keeps all modes competitively balanced.

Same Placement
Players with the same finish position are treated as tied.
Same Placement + Same VP
Head-to-head result = Draw (0.5 points)
Same Placement + Different VP
Higher VP wins the head-to-head comparison
Tournament nights have two stages: Round 1 pods and a Final pod.
In Tournament Mode only, the Final pod gives a small extra Elo bonus based on your finishing position. This bonus rewards making finals and performing under pressure.
Normal Elo scoring still applies; this is just an additional small boost in the Final.
Bonus Values:
4-Player Final
3-Player Final
Tie Rule (Final Only)
If players tie in placement, the Final bonus is split fairly by averaging the bonuses for the tied placements.
Example: Two players tie for 2nd in a 4-player Final → each receives +2 final bonus (average of +3 and +1).
